Serving Those Around Us

We are committed to serving those around us, acting as Christ's hands and feet to our family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and classmates. We want to reach into the lives of those that are hurting and those in need both in our local communities & around the world. We desire to see others come to know the love of God, the forgiveness through Jesus, and the power of a new life in the Spirit.

OPPORTUNITES TO SERVE OUR NEIGHBORS

MOM MATTERS

Sometimes as moms we don’t feel like we matter with the hustle and bustle of daily life, but we need to realize that we do matter. Our group is an open, accepting place for mothers in the surrounding communities and church to connect with one another.

N.A. CHILDCARE

Every other week we provide free childcare for a Narcotics Anonymous group which meets in our church on Friday nights. Volunteers may play with children in the gym, help bake a snack, lead crafts, care for infants/toddlers, or oversee the check-in table and security.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Each year we put together several hundred shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Each box is delivered by Samaritans Purse to a child affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, or disease.

GRIEFSHARE

Support group for those who have experienced the loss of someone close to them. GriefShare, a 13-week course, includes video testimony from those who have experienced loss as well as seasoned counselors. We also offer seminars for surviving the holidays and for those who have lost a spouse.

DIVORCECARE

Support group for those who are facing the difficult effects of marital separation and divorce. DivorceCare is a 13-week program that includes video testimony from those who have gone through a divorce and hopeful advice from experienced counselors. We also offer a seminar on surviving the holidays

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS

There are hundreds of college students from dozens of different countries on our local college campuses. International Friends exist to befriend and serve the students and to share the love of Christ with them.

NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH

We are committed to loving and serving those around us. Throughout the year we run several events for our neighbors, as well as looking for ways to bless those who live and work in our community.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE THE CHURCH

VOLUNTEERS

There are lots of ways you can serve at Grace! From helping with Sunday refreshments or church meals, to serving as an usher or greeter, to helping at neighborhood events. You can serve in children’s ministries, help around the building, or serve in a ministry or on a committee.

WORSHIP and TECH

It is important that our worship services involve the participation of the entire congregation. There are individuals whose giftedness and service greatly aid us in this goal through their use of instruments, voices and behind the scenes abilities with technology.

MISSIONS

Jesus calls us all to be on mission, loving others and sharing the Good News with those around the world. Grace is actively involved in promoting outreach here in our own community and partnering with ministries throughout Delaware County, across America and around the Globe.

CHURCH PLANTING

We are committed to seeing the influence of Christ's church expand throughout the world, including right here in our own communities. One way we do this is to network with a number of local churches and to partner with other BFC churches throughout the region, including several new church plants.

We are a part of several local pastors networks where our leaders get to share ideas and get support from others, as well as partnering together on common initiatives.
