Serving at Grace
We believe the Scriptures call us to "every member" ministry where each person in the church is actively involved in the life of the church. There are many ways to get involved in serving within the church. Some are listed below, along with the person to contact if you would like to help. If you do not see something that fits your particular gifts and passions, please contact Mark Bickel, as we would be happy to talk with you and see where your unique talents fit in the life of the body here.
Meal and Hospitality Ministries
Make meals for people who are sick or for other reasons in need of a meal. Help with congregational luncheons and Funeral Luncheons. Contact Jay Norquist.
Deacons Service Opportunities
The deacons keep a database of people in the church with different practical skills that might be available from time to time to serve those that have a need. To let the Deacons know your gifts and skills, or if you are in need of help, contact David Lawton, the chairman of the Deacons.
Children's Helpers and Teachers
We are often in need of teachers, helpers and other child care workers on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and for special programs at the church. You can find out more on our Children's Ministry Volunteer page or contact Beth Wiegand, our Director of Children and Youth Ministries.
Ushers and Greeters
Sunday morning ushers and greeters serve on a rotating basis. To find out how you can serve contact Dan Seal, our Head Usher.
Audio, Video and Media Support
We are actively seeking some people to help run some of the AV equipment on a Sunday morning. We are especially looking for people to be on a rotation to help run the slides during the Sunday Morning worship. To find out more about helping with sound contact Enoch Stevenson, to help with Sunday slides contact Martin Das, or contact the head of our Technology Group, Sam Shiels.
If you have computer or other technical skills we would love to have you as part of our Technology Group. Contact the head of our Technology Group, Sam Shiels.
Property & Maintenance
If you would like to help around the church with cleaning, repairs, landscaping, or in any other way around the property, contact the head of our Property and Maintenance committee, Mike Norquist.
If you have musical skills and would like to serve on a worship team, you can find out more on our Worship at Grace Page or contact Pastor Tim Cowen.
Find out more about ways you can help our missions committee and support our missionaries. Go to our Missions Committee page, or contact the chairman of our missions committee, Bob Evans.
Small Groups/ Outreach Teams
We encourage each person to find at least one small group of believers to connect to for Bible Study, prayer and encouragement. You can find out more at our Strengthening page. We also encourage each person to be involved in at least one outreach oriented ministry. You can find out more on our Sharing page. You can also contact Pastor Mark Bickel.
